My frontend development journey

In late 2019, I realized that bartending was not a sustainable long-term career for me. Seeking a new challenge, I enrolled in the online computer science course, CS50, where I discovered my passion for programming. This led me to pursue a career that combined both design and coding.

I completed the Multimedia Design program at KEA in 2023 and gained invaluable experience during my four-month internship at Checkmate. Working with component based programming languages such as Vue and Nuxt enhanced my knowledge and skills as a frontend developer, and I'm excited to continue growing in this dynamic field.

Skills

Web Coding

During my education at KEA (2020-2023), I’ve built a strong basis in Html, CSS and JavaScript. I chose Frontend as an elective where we’ve explored JavaScript and CSS in depth, we’ve learned how to use different CSS libraries, such as Bootstrap and Pico, Tailwind, Sass and finally we got a good understanding of React.

During my 4 month internship at Checkmate I’ve been working mostly with Vue/VueX/Nuxt where I got used with component driven development and collaborated with professionals to develop solutions that are now put to use.

Web UI/Dessign

As a frontend developer I’ve always enjoyed being involved in the design process. During school I participated alongside my colleagues, coming up with the best web solutions through research, benchmarking and testing.
